A lot was expected of the the Sega Saturn version of Daytona
USA.
Visually speaking it is a pale shadow
of the arcade favourite - but
after a few races the gameplay
really shines.
Great
fun - highly recommended with the
Racing Controller [HSS-0115].

The
original SS Daytona USA had
its fair share of critics, so an update was a very welcome prospect.
The 'Circuit Edition' features vastly improved visuals, 2
new courses ('National Park Speedway' & 'Desert City'), a 2P split-screen mode and best of all - 2P versus game for the link-up Taisen Cable [HSS-0107].
Sadly it suffers from erratic collisions and questionable gameplay. What on earth happened? It's still a top noth driving game, but it really could have done with a little more work.

Much
was expected of Daytona
USA for the Dreamcast,
but again Sega fall short of the mark. The problem is that It just doesn't play
that well on pad - it's OK on the DC
Steering Wheel, but still something doesn't feel right.
Features all the courses from
the original game & 'Circuit
Edition', and adds 3 new tracks
('Rin Rin Rink', 'Circuit
Pixie' and 'Mermaid Lake').
