SSFIIX marks the very first issue of the Gamest Mook series. Contents include a brief 'Fighting Gouki' section & 2-page profiles for the rest of the cast, followed by a massive 80 pages of sheet music for all the in-game BGM. What gives the item most of its value is the bonus (Macintosh only) CD-ROM disc [view] that includes the complete soundtrack along with a few interactive features. The 3DO caught everyone by surprise with this superb port of SSFIIX. It sure helped sell quite a few 3DO machines back in its day, along with a fair amount of joysticks & SFC controller adaptors (the standard 3DO pad is 3-button only). With Capcom themselves at the helm, nothing much could go wrong: the playability is flawless, and the CD soundtrack has since become the benchmark of the series. A great version today!
